Heidi Merrick Trunk Show @ Oliver and Lilly's ♥

I just got back from Heidi Merrick's trunk show at Oliver and Lilly's. It was amazing! Her collection (both current spring/summer and fall) was absolutely breathtaking. The pops of color, flowy silks, and chic minimalistic designs had me weak in the knees. My favorite pieces would have to be the Abigail dress, Fig Tree dress (talk about romantic and sweet), and the oh so gorgeous silk Hans Blazer in sky blue.

Did I mention the shoppe looked absolutely adorable? The ladies were all gorgeous in Heidi Merrick and the additions of fresh flowers, sweets, and cute cushions made this adorable little shoppe even more adorable!

I am so happy that Heidi Merrick collection is available in Vancouver and ecstatic that it's at one of my favorite local boutiques. The Heidi Merrick collection and cute shop Oliver and Lilly's is a must-see lovelies!

Have a good weekend lovelies ♥

Heidi Merrick Trunk Show at Oliver and Lilly's ♥

I am SO excited to go to this trunk show! It has been on my mind for the past couple weeks now and I have, literally, been counting down the days on the calendar. An opportunity to hang out with one of my all-time favorite designers and have a little sneak peak of her fall collection is something I cannot miss!

Any of you lovelies thinking of swinging by the neighborhood for some shopping that day should definitely email sayhello@oliverandlillys.com for an invite for that special evening! Space is limited so make sure to email by Friday the 18th!

All About Color

I'm usually pretty neutral when it comes to my wardrobe and accessories (it's usually black on black on black - sometimes a splash of green or pink, but that's asking a lot). However, recently I have been CRAZY about color! Well, I haven't really been wearing a lot of color, but I am considering incorporating quite a few vibrant pieces into my wardrobe for spring and summer. Seeing all these gorgeous bursts or neon and bright colors is so refreshing and beautiful. Here are a few pieces I am drooling over...

One of my favorite pieces from Heidi Merrick's spring collection. I fell in love with it when I first saw it in person at Oliver and Lilly's.

I`ve been very much into oranges lately...

Aqua aura crystals are one of my favorites, turn it into a bullet necklace and oh la la.

Handmade beauty for only $75. This satchel also comes in a bright neon green and pink. She also does cute flats and oxfords for very reasonable prices.

Nothing like a burst of sunshine to put me in a smiley mood.

No its not something I would wear, but it would sure make a beautiful accent to any room in my house (and it would help with geography class...well if I were actually taking geography - I could totally sleep and study at the same time)

Have any of you lovelies been into color lately? What colorful pieces would you incorporate into your wardrobe?

Chic, Simple, Wearable: Oliver & Lilly's, I ♥ You

Many of my favorite little shoppes tend to stray off the path often travelled (like Hach and Nouvelle Nouvelle and Lynn Steven). Mum and I were hitting up South Granville last summer and we stumbled upon Oliver and Lilly's: an adorable little boutique just off Granville Street (and 13th). The store is cozy and very inviting with friendly faces who are always smiling and happy to see you! They have a beautiful collection of clothing in store by (some hard to find designers) Edith Miller, APC, Steven Alan, and Heidi Merrick (just to name a few). They also carry Alternative Apparel, gorgeous Clare Vivier bags, some fun sparklies by Charlotte Hosten, pretty scarves, socks, candles, tea and other fun tidbits.

My favorite pieces currently in store (a few happily in my wardobe ♥) are:

 Heidi Merrick Desmond Leather Pant

Clare Vivier Tropezienne Tote

I love the chic simplicity the store embodies (I wish my entire wardrobe consisted of everything from their store). It is always a major challenge for me to leave this haven empty handed. And if you can't make it to their store, fear not! They recently launched their online shop. And if you're unsure about sizing and fit, their staff are super helpful and knowledgeable and are always happy to answer everything over the phone or by email (don't worry they respond very quickly to email inquiries).

I haven't been down to South Granville too recently, but the last time I was taking a cruise down I noticed quite a few very posh boutiques popping up in the area. I'll definitely have to take a day to grab some lunch down there and visit all the new (and old) shoppes (Misch! Oliver and Lilly's! Anthropologie!)! Hopefully my piggy bank won't be in tears by the end of the day
